CRE suspends terms and deadlines due to Coronavirus
The Energy Regulatory Commission ("CRE" by its acronym in Spanish) published in the Official Gazette the resolution number A/010/2020, establishing the suspension of legal deadlines and terms at the CRE as a measure to prevent and combat the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19.
In view of the country’s and global wide crisis that is occurring due to COVID-19, the CRE considered the suspension of terms and procedures in matters within its jurisdiction as a preventive measure.
1) Declares the suspension of the deadlines and terms in the acts and procedures carried out by the CRE from March 24 until April 17th 2020 (the “Term”).
2) Establish that the actions, requests, applications or promotions carried out before the CRE during the Term will be understood to have been carried out on April 20.
3) The necessary days and hours during the Term are enabled for the purposes that the Governing Body of the CRE, as well as its administrative units, considers necessary.
It is important that individuals who have open proceedings or pending obligations before the CRE take into account this resolution for the development of their activities within the aforementioned period.
